Classes for two age groups

S.K.I.T. Theatre is thrilled to be coming back. We are excited to bring teens and theatre together again. But we all need to help following the new guidelines to stay healthy and keep being DRAMATIC!

S.K.I.T. has altered our approach to classes.

  • We are offering an 8-week session for students 1st grade – 12th grade.
  • In-person classes will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1770 Baxter Rd SE, Salem, OR.
  • Each student, teacher, and volunteer must be able to wear a mask the entire class time.
  • No in-person showcase will occur.
  • Because the session is shorter, the price has decreased. S.K.I.T. will not be able to offer discounts for this session.

Through acting, singing and dance, students will truly learn to act in songs and scenes. Stage Combat: Learn the specialized techniques in theatre designed to create the illusion of physical combat without causing harm to the performers. Learn weapon and non-weapon choreographed moves.
Improv: Learning comedy and quick thinking through theatre games. Acting: Learn the fundamentals of acting through theatre exercises and games, scene work, and character study to improve your performances.
Theatre Makeup: Learn how to apply theatre makeup and basic techniques such as aging, bruising, and scarring. Vocals: Learn to make the most of your voice. Gain basic vocal warm-ups and skills. Gain confidence through the study of many fun and exciting songs.
